Food from Beechenhill Farm

We can supply all sorts of goodies, both produced here at our organic dairy farm and from local farms with environmentally sensitive management systems.

We supply our delicious raw organic milk to visitors and locals who collect it in their own sterilized containers.

From the little licenced bar in the Haybarn, you can also buy organic and fairtrade wines, local organic lager (Freedom from Abbots Bromley, Staffordshire) and local ales.

Dairy
We are developing a delicious cheese (with help of the Peak District Dairy Wagon). Its a feta style cheese, called Beechenhill Drystone. Hopefully we will be in small scale production by the end of 2012.

At breakfast you can enjoy our own creamy organic yoghurt and our lovely fresh milk, as well as our delicious porridges, often with swirls of seasonal fruit, succulent pink rhubarb, fresh garden raspberries or damson compote.

Beechenhill Organic Lamb
From late August onwards you can order halves of Beechenhill organic lamb. Half a lamb fills a standard carrier bag. Its delicious, vaccum packed and travels well.

Take-away Breakfasts
Guests staying in the cottages can order Take-away breakfasts.  Pop over to the farmhouse kitchen door at the agreed time and collect your breakfast;
  • Delicious, creamy organic porridge with fresh organic milk and yoghurt
  • Your choice of breakfast, either traditional farmhouse, vegetarian or smoked trout and scrambled egg
Local ready-meals and puds for cottages!

Staffordshire Honey for sale
We are selling Honey from the Staffordshire Moorlands a few miles north of Beechenhill Farm.

You used to be able to buy seasonal honey from hives on the farm, but at the moment the honey bees have dramatically declined because of a parasite mite, the weather and pesticide sprays (neonicotinoids). Help us get the Government to ban neonicotinoids by lending your voice and signing the Soil Association's online petition: Save the Honeybee.
