'The setting was superb and all the arrangements were perfect but above all the warmth and good humour with which we were all received was overwhelming. Bless you for making it a wonderful day for all of us.'

|
|
The Haybarn at Beechenhill
The ground floor, with stone flags and under-floor heating and free wifi, still has the original hayrack and sturdy Victorian pine benches, has a small bar, cloakroom and WCs, one wheelchair accessible.
Up the oak staircase, the first floor has glass-fronted gallery overlooking the ground floor and a high roofed, beamed Hayloft where most ceremonies take place.
The Hayloft seats approximately 50 guests, beside the baby grand piano. Other guests arrange themselves along the gallery where they witness the special event.
The trestle tables laid ready downstairs to seat your guests.
You can arrange it just how you want- we are there to help you have the perfect family event. |

"The day all too quickly came to evening, and again the arrangements were faultless in every regard right down to arranging for transport to take tired, from the dancing and emotional, from the champagne, guests back to their beds in the surrounding area. We enjoyed the extra luxury of staying at the farm and so did not have far to totter.
From dawn (practically) to well beyond dusk it was perfect - the sun shone and the stars twinkled in the clear night sky – although I don’t know how Sue managed to arrange that.
For several weeks after the wedding friends and family were waxing about our lovely Derbyshire day, and rightly singing the praises of Beechenhill Farm."
Anne & David Wood Holgate, YORK

We don't have many but:
-
We can only park up to 15 cars, so we work with our little bus company Warringtons in Ilam.
-
We don't do discos- it just doesn't go with the place. We think real people and live local music fits with our philosophy and the barn.
-
You must take all the accommodation on site; Cottages for the weekend (Fri-Mon) and both B&B rooms for a minimum of two nights.
-
We can't have candles or tea lights, the fire officer doesn't approve, so we use lots of lovely fairy lights and LED tea lights and everybody can relax!
- If you would like to use confetti, please choose natural flower petals and only use on the grass.
- We can't have sky lanterns- we did once and they ended up draped over our neighbours' farms endangering their animals.
-
Please take your decorations and discarded items home with you.
-
Thank you!! |
"A wonderful location with a wonderfully run farm. Every person who works there was pleasant and very nice for the whole weekend, please pass on my thanks and as Doug is fond of saying "Peace and Love" to them all. Nothing more could of been asked for. Well done!!!! James (bestish man)
"We had in the bridal party someone who has a very specialised and restrictive diet. Sue and Terry went to great lengths to ensure that all our requirements were met, and indeed were exceeded, the result being a very relaxing and worry free day – no small achievement." |
